South Ohau

Paul and I on another one of those Ohau walks that trades reality.

Paul and I drove to Poads Road and at approx 2100 headed off up to Waiopehu Hut.

Saturday 14/02/2009
Up late and left the hut on midday with the aim of going down a unknown valley. After a few hours and three quarters of the way down we got bluffed. Turned around and walked back up to the track.

Got to South Ohau using the track in the end.

Sunday 15/02/2009
Left South Ohau just on midday, a clear warm one.

Dragon fly on the rocks.

Down the river all the way to the intake, was such a warm day for it, not cold even chest deep in the pools. Stopped for swims often.
