Tariga and I went for a walk up scree to Mt Mcrae and saw a couple of dear on the way.
Lake Head Hut
Tariga is eight and this is her first tramp with an overnight stay in a hut.

Drove to St Arnaud and meet up with Bill Butters, who runs the Lake Rotoiti water taxi. We got a ride up to the jetty closest to Lake Head hut and then walked to the hut. A few people already here.

Caught the water taxi back to Kerr Bay and headed off home.
