Waitohu Lodge

An overnight  hut bagging trip with Paul that became a day walk. This is another of those not so well documented huts in the Tararua Forest Park.

We drove from Wellington to Otaki and visited my Dad and got some supplies then headed off to the Waitohu Qurrray. Parked up and sorted ourselves out and then headed off on the four wheel drive track to Waitohu Lodge.

We dropped off our gear and headed up to the Hydrology station to check out where we intended to walk the next day. On the way passed two quads and realised others where probably staying at the Lodge that night, so we decided to head out.
