Middy Hut

An overnight return trip in the Richmond Ranges from Brook Street to to Middy Hut.

Got dropped off at the end of Brook Street where the Dun Mountain track access is just before the Brook Street camping ground. Very hot morning.

Pretty hot by the time I got to Coppermine Saddle.

Stopped at Rocks Hut for a snack and cup of tea and a break from the sun. Got to Middy Hut and decided I would spend the afternoon sunbathing and swimming. Nice relaxing time.

Did a hut tidy and collected firewood for future. And left about mid day. Another very hot day.

Middy Hut

Warm wander up the hill to Rocks Hut with a lot of wasps about. Stopped at Rocks for a cup of tea and decided that I would take the old track from the look out, which is well maintained and easily followed.

Out of the bush heading where there is a sign for those heading the other way.

Down to the creek where I stopped a while and had a shallow swim before heading off up to the Dun Mountain track.

 From here about two hours back to Brook street. Hot walk.
